On Wednesday morning, Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami was arrested by the Raigad Police from his residence in Mumbai. The Raigad Police reported that the arrest of Arnab Goswami is a part of an ‘ongoing’ investigation of the 2018 Suicide case of an architect.
On 5th May 2018, 53-year-old Architect & Interior Designer Anvay Naik and his 83-year-old mother Kumud allegedly committed suicide. As per reports, in 2017, Anvay Naik had previously worked as an architect for the development of the Republic TV Office and Studio.
Before committing suicide, Anvay Naik wrote a suicide note in which he said that he was unable to pay his creditors because his firm was not paid by the project proposers. One of the names he mentioned in the suicide note was of Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami.
The bodies of Anvay and his mom was found in their Alibaug farmhouse. A video, wherein Anvay Naik’s better half is engaging for equity is as a rule broadly coursed via web-based media now.
She has said her husband Anvay Naik left a accusation note accusing Arnab Goswami and two others for his passing.
Naik’s family anyway kept on requesting a reasonable examination concerning the case. In May this year, Anvay Naik’s little girl Adnya Naik met Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and mentioned a new examination concerning the case. Following the gathering, Anil Deshmukh moved the case to state CID for a new examination. In October, the case was moved to the nearby wrongdoing part of the Raigad area police. A Raigad police group, alongside officials of the CID in Mumbai, arrested Arnab Goswami from his home on Wednesday morning. In the early evening, Goswami was introduced under the steady gaze of a Raigad court.
