Indian Railways (Indian Railways) is going to run 15 pairs of special trains from Tuesday, i.e. from today, after keeping passenger services closed for about 50 days due to Corona virus. 54000 tickets have been booked for this journey. It will be mandatory for all passengers to wear masks during this journey and only those passengers who have a confirmed ticket will be allowed to travel. Mathematics of tickets for trains running during lockdown
Ticket booking in these trains has started from May 11. Booking can be done only through IRCTC website (https://www.irctc.co.in/). According to the railway, the advance reservation in these trains will be for a maximum of seven days, that is, you will be able to book the train ticket till 7 days before the journey. Rac and waiting tickets will not be released at the moment. Apart from this, TTE will not be allowed to make any ticket in the train.
Booking was to start from 4 pm on May 11, but the booking was postponed for 2 hours due to IRCTC website not working. After this booking started at 6 pm. So far 54000 tickets have been made.
Money will be deducted on cancellation
Railways have also given the option to cancel the tickets. According to the railway, passengers can cancel tickets up to 24 hours before the train opens. However, on cancellation of tickets, 50 percent of the total fare will be deducted as a fee. That is, if you had booked a ticket of Rs 3000 and you can get only 1500 rupees on canceling it.
According to Indian Railways, passengers coming to the station and the vehicle / driver carrying them will be allowed entry inside the station only if they have a confirmed ticket for the journey.
Rent equal to capital
A total of 15 pairs of trains (30 trains including up-and-down) will be run. These trains will only have coaches of air-conditioned class i.e. AC-1, AC-2 and AC-3. There will be no passenger or sleeper coach. Its fare will be equal to Rajdhani train.
8 trains will run on Tuesday
According to the railway, 8 trains will run today i.e. on May 12, 3 of which will depart from New Delhi and reach Dibrugarh, Bengaluru and Bilaspur. At the same time, 5 trains will reach Delhi from Howrah, Rajendra Nagar (Patna), Bengaluru, Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad.
It will be mandatory for passengers to wear masks and health checkups at the departure point. Only those people will be allowed to board the train in which there will be no signs of infection with the virus. During the journey, the train will stop at very few stations. ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ will be clearly written on the tickets.
For these trains, the ticket booking window at the stations will remain closed, no counter ticket including platform ticket will be issued.
There will be rules for temperature inside the train
There will be special rules for air conditioning in trains. Temperatures will be kept slightly higher than normal days. Also, it has been arranged to get fresh air inside the coach.
