Delhi Police nabs two terrorists, recovers multiple explosives

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has successfully foiled a major conspiracy to terrorize the capital. Delhi police have arrested two suspected terrorists from Sarai Kale Khan. Both these suspected terrorists are potentially linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and are inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir.

They possessed two semi-automatic pistols and ten live cartridges which have now been recovered from them. It is being informed that these two were planning to execute a big terror conspiracy in the nation’s capital. They wanted to perpetrate a deadly blast in Delhi, according to the police sources.

As per the received information, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had received a tip-off concerning these two terrorists. After this, the Special Cell made a plan to catch them live. On Monday night at about 10:15 PM, these two terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed were arrested near the Millennium Park in Sarai Kale Khan area. Several weapons have been recovered from these suspected terrorists.

The arrested militants have been identified as Abdul Latif, a resident of Sopore in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir and Ashraf Khatana, a resident of Hat Mulla village in Kupwara district, according to the Delhi Police.

As per the data provided from sources, the age of both terrorists is between 20 and 22 years. Both of them were living within a rented house in Sarai Kale Khan. Their plot was to terrorize and threaten the entire Delhi-NCR. Due to the ongoing operations by the Indian Military against the hiding terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir, the fizzled-out terrorists sent them to Delhi. According to reports, several VIPs were also on the target of these terrorists.

They also admitted during interrogation that they wanted to go to Pakistan for training. Previously, these two also tried to cross the border but were unsuccessful. Multiple explosives and documents have been recovered from the possession of these two terrorists.
