Just when you think that 2020 could possibly have nothing more to surprise us with, you come across something that shakes your core up. This time around, it is Sajid Khan who has come under the radar for sexual harassment.
Sajid Khan has been a household name for quite some while as he delivered comedy movies right off the bat. A good chunk of the comedy scene in the late 2000s was practically governed by Sajid, making him one of the most sought after directors in the days of yore.
However, Dimple Paul has some dirt on Khan which she would like the world to know about.
According to Dimple Paul, Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Khan tried to sexually harass her and told her she would have to do so to get a role in the Housefull franchise.
In a string of Instagram stories, Dimple shared, “When #MeToo movement started, a lot of people spoke about Sajid Khan but I did not dare to because like every other actor who has no godfather and had to earn for a family I kept quiet. Now I don’t have my parent with me. I’m earning for myself. I can dare to tell that I have been harassed by Sajid Khan at the age of 17.”
She added, “He spoke dirty to me. He tried to touch me. He even told me to strip in front of him just to get a role in his upcoming Housefull movie.”
In the light of #MeToo, several women in India came out, expressing personal harassment stories they’ve encountered. Turns out, in the end, truth does prevail.
