Last year Apple launched its iPhone 11 series comprising iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Lately, it has been found that a few iPhone 11 devices which were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 were found having display issues where the display stops responding to touch. After probing into this issue Apple decided to launch a Free Screen Replacement For iPhone which will be free of cost.
When Apple came to know about the display issues in some of the iPhone 11 units which were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020, then Apple released a customer support page especially for iPhone 11 devices in order to see whether your iPhone 11 is eligible for free screen replacement or not. You just have to insert the serial number and if your device is eligible for free repair, then an Apple Authorized Service Provider will repair your device for free.
How we can check the serial number?
It is really simple to check the serial number. You just have to open Settings on your iPhone 11 device, tap ‘General’ and then ‘About’. If you are not able to understand these steps then do not worry, just click the link below the bar where you have to insert serial number as Apple has explained to find the serial number of your device in an easy way.
Moreover, the company did mention that those iPhone 11 users who faced this problem earlier and got this fixed are entitled to a refund for the same. The validity of this replacement program is of two years from the date of purchase. However, the replacement program does not cover certain issues like cracked screens and those issues have to be resolved separately. Additional charges will be applied for such services which do not fall under the terms and conditions of this replacement program. Also, the standard warranty of the device is not affected at all and will not be extended.
