On January 24, 2020, Eden Park in Auckland will watch as India will play against New Zealand in the India Tour of New Zealand 2020 test series. There will be five T20s, three ODIs, a 3-day practice match, and finally, two test matches. The test series will be concluded on March 04, 2020.
As per the latest update on New Zealand’s team, Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson have been ruled out as injured, and Hamish Bennett has been called in to play after over 2 years and 6 months. Bennett, a fast bowler of the team, was a regular in New Zealand’s ODI squad. In the World Cup 2011, Bennett was seen playing in the team.
The fast-paced bowlers of New Zealand’s team have been experiencing a wave of injuries. Matt Henry, Doug Bracewell, and Adam Milne have been declared injured for the home test series. Batsman Tom Latham will not play for the five-match T20 series since he is suffering from a broken finger.
In team India, Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami, after resting for Sri Lanka Tour of India 2020, have been called back in India’s T20 squad. In terms of the third opener, Lokesh Rahul will be hitting the grounds. Hardik Pandya has been declared unfit and his comeback in the team has again failed, and he will not be playing the test series.
