The validity of the market winning annual prepaid plan of Jio has reduced from 365 days to 336 days. The plan includes 24 GB data per day, 3,600 free text messages and 12,000 minutes free call from Jio-Jio but is not only valid for 336 days instead of 365 days. The plan also offers a free subscription to Jio Apps. The annual prepaid plan is priced at Rs. 1,299. Users who are looking for a valid annual prepaid plan on Jio network will have to now recharge for one additional month. Reliance-Jio, the only profitable telecom of India, is set to revise its prepaid plans. The change in the number of days in the annual plan is similar to the number of days in monthly plans, which are valid for only 28 days instead of 30 days. Change in the validity of the annual plan is already in effect in all the circles of Jio.
What are the annual prepaid plans by competitors of R-Jio?
Two major competitors of Jio are Vodafone-Idea and Airtel. Both of the private telcos have two annual prepaid plans. Airtel offers two annual prepaid plans at Rs. 1,498 and Rs. 2,398, with a validity of 365 days. On the other hand, Vodafone-Idea has two annual plans for Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 2,399, again valid for 365 days.
So far, annual plans of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have a validity of 365 days, but with the announcement of Jio to change the annual validity from 365 days to 336 days, the two companies may also revise the validity of their plans.
