Cyclone ‘Nivar’ may hit tomorrow, TN declares holiday, Puducherry imposes Section 144

Due to the formation of low pressure over the areas of Bay of Bengal, a cyclonic storm has developed. The Meteorological Department estimates that the storm will cross the Karaikal coasts of Mamallapuram and Puducherry in Tamil Nadu on 25th November. The storm has been named ‘Nivar’. It is believed that the storm may cause heavy havoc in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Local trains will remain closed in the entire Tamil Nadu to prevent heavy damage.
