L&T wins the bid to develop the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project

The longest portion of the high-speed bullet train line between Mumbai and Ahmedabad measuring 237.1 kilometers which is about 47 percent of the mainline, will be developed by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) as the construction giant won the bid for the bullet train project. Mumbai Metro will be allowed to operate from 15th October with phased operations and necessary precautions, the Maharashtra Government announced today. The State Government’s ‘Begin Again’ guidelines for the month of October have several relaxations for smooth operations and better facilities amid the pandemic.
