On Wednesday evening, The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Republic TV Chief Editor Arnab Goswami. Arnab was sent to 14-day judicial custody in the 2018 abetment-to-suicide case by the Bombay High Court. Along with Goswami, the other two accused Nitesh Sarda and Feroz Shaikh in the Anvay Naik and his mother’s suicide case were also sent to judicial custody by the Bombay High Court. On Wednesday morning, Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami was arrested by the Raigad Police from his residence in Mumbai. The Raigad Police reported that the arrest of Arnab Goswami is a part of an ‘ongoing’ investigation of the 2018 Suicide case of an architect. On 5th May 2018, 53-year-old Architect & Interior Designer Anvay Naik and his 83-year-old mother Kumud allegedly committed suicide.
