The news that everyone was waiting for has finally broken out. Shahrukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood has started shooting for his next film ‘Pathan’ from Wednesday. Although the producer of the movie, Yash Raj Films, has not yet made any official announcement of the film nor Shahrukh has made any statement regarding his new project. But, these two giants of Hindi films have already started working together in secret.

Shahrukh Khan’s fans have been waiting for more than a year now wondering when the Badashah of Bollywood will star again on the big screen. But it seems that the wait is set to be over as Shahrukh has started shooting for the action drama film Pathan, directed by Siddharth Anand, at the Yash Raj Films Studios located in Mumbai.

The initial schedule will be approximately two months long. Alongside Shahrukh, the film will also star Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. In the film, Deepika will be paired up with Shahrukh while John Abraham will play the villain. John is currently working for his upcoming movie ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ in Lucknow under the direction of Milap Zaveri.

Currently, Deepika is busy with Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi in a romantic-drama film directed by Shakun Batra. Although, the opening schedule of ‘Pathan’ is expected to go on floor as it consists Shahrukh alone. John Abraham and Deepika Padukone will join later for this film. This only reason that Shahrukh didn’t reveal any information of the movie might be the long return to work as the star would not want to make noises around.

After 2018’s Zero, Shahrukh Khan had completely disappeared from the big screen. Shahrukh’s fans have been waiting for his next film ever since. Sources reveal that during the lockdown, Shahrukh Khan was scripted by several big producers and directors for the films but Shahrukh was more impressed by this story of Siddharth Anand, so he chose this film first. Shahrukh has also signed the films of Rajkumar Hirani and South India’s hit director, Attlee.
